How Does Preventative Maintenance Work?

Our Preventative Maintenance (PM) program helps ensure your machines and equipment stay in optimal working condition, helping you avoid costly downtime and repairs. By regularly servicing your equipment, PM not only enhances performance but also keeps your warranty valid, providing peace of mind for your operations.

What is Included in a PM?

Regular Maintenance Tasks:

  • Replacing filters on reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

  • Cleaning and servicing machines.

  • Changing out membranes and other routine tasks to maintain system efficiency.

Frequency of Service

Preventative Maintenance can be scheduled every 3 to 6 months, depending on your equipment’s needs and usage levels. Regular maintenance ensures long-lasting performance and reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns.

Costs and Pricing

The cost of a PM can vary depending on several factors. We try to account for different scenarios and not charge customers for anything that they don’t need. Typically the price of the PM is determined each visit. If you are leasing (not lease-purchasing) equipment from us, and the PM is on a regular schedule, we typically cover the costs as part of your agreement. If the PM is non-lease, or it occurs outside of the scheduled time, the cost for each PM will include the following:

  • Filters and Materials: This includes membranes, chemicals, and items that are used up as a result of the PM. Because these materials can vary based on the type of unit they are used on and the type of maintenance being done, this can cause the most fluctuation in pricing.

  • Labor: Labor costs are calculated hourly. This can change based on the amount of technicians required for a PM and the time needed to complete it.

  • Trip Charges: The cost of the trip is based on mileage. Local PM calls (in Odessa and Midland) do not have a trip charge. Sometimes, multiple customers in the same city can split the cost of a single trip, making it a significantly lower cost for distant locations. Ask about your location, and see if you can align your schedule for more savings.

What PM Does Not Cover

PM is not a repair service. It focuses on routine upkeep and does not include repairs for damaged or malfunctioning equipment. Damages caused by neglect, abuse, or negligence are not covered under warranty and will be charged separately.

Why Choose PM?

  • Maintain Warranty Validity: Regular PM ensures compliance with warranty terms.

  • Extend Equipment Life: Keep your machines running at peak efficiency.

  • Avoid Costly Repairs: Proactive care minimizes the likelihood of expensive issues.

By enrolling in our Preventative Maintenance program, you are taking an essential step toward protecting your investment and ensuring the reliability of your equipment. Contact us today or fill out our PM form to schedule your next PM service!
